A Game of Thrones Catan Will Get You Through A Long Night’s Watch

Got a long night’s watch ahead of you? Worry not, the board game “A Game of Thrones Catan” has your back. Sure, you’re probably NOT supposed to be playing board games (or any sort of game, for that matter) while on watch duty, but hey, you gotta do what you gotta do.

After all, how are you supposed to resist this?

Every board game enthusiast surely has Settlers of Catan on his shelf, and if you’re a fan of Catan-style games PLUS a card-carrying member of HBO’s epic fantasy series (okay, GRRM’s high fantasy book series which may or may not see its conclusion), then you need “A Game of Thrones Catan”, too.

The game is based on A Song of Ice and Fire and uses the Catan gameplay. This time, you get to battle wildlings, climbers, and giants. To make things even more interesting, with the help of Night’s Watch legends, you get to develop the Gift.

Gameplay takes 60-90 minutes, with 3-4 players. If you’ve got a bigger circle, then the expansion pack will allow up to 6 players, plus new tiles & plastic (for a wider map), four new hero cards, and mammoths.
