Adidas Game of Thrones Shoes Are Coming
We have no doubt you’ve got April 14 blocked off. It’s been a long wait for us Game of Thrones fans, and with the final season coming real soon, anticipation is running high. But HBO is not stopping at the final season. To get our hearts pumping even more, they have collaborated with Adidas to give us special edition Adidas Game of Thrones shoes.
Even if you don’t wear sneakers, these Adidas Game of Thrones will make you want to wear them.
The special collection will feature six Ultraboost 4.0s, with Game of Thrones Houses and other highlights of the show such as the White Walkers and Daenerys’ three lovely dragons. The Game of Thrones references are shown in printed sole inserts and heel tabs, as well as the overall color scheme.
While we’re House Stark (99% of the time, anyway), we certainly want this:
Oh, yes. You’ll hear us roar if we manage to grab one of these!
But that’s not the only design that will make you roar.
All of these designs are too scrumptious to resist, aren’t they?
Stephan Schneider, the man behind Ultraboost, told High Snobiety that they are always on the lookout for brand collaborations. And, since he’s a Game of Thrones fan himself, this was to be expected. You have to admit, even if he weren’t a fan, the popularity of the show makes a collaboration attractive to anyone.
On HBO’s part, vice president of licensing and retail Jeff Peters says, “The chance to create a bespoke sneaker collection with an industry giant like adidas was just the type of thing we were looking for as we approached the final season of Game of Thrones. The Ultraboost program has been a total trendsetter and such a great fit for the biggest moment in our show’s history. The entire project is exciting, but seeing the shoes in person for the first time was a huge highlight. Translating our show motifs into footwear was a fun puzzle to solve.”
Whatever their reasons may be, we’re happy. The thing is, these shoes will probably cost a pretty penny. Monitor Adidas early on March 22, for that’s when the shoes drop. Good luck!
