The Chevy LEGO Batmobile Will Crush the Wind Out of Your Lungs

With the LEGO Batman Movie coming out soon, promotion is on full steam ahead mode. Not that the movie really needs more promotion, in my opinion. I mean, who wouldn’t want to watch the movie?

Still, with stunts like the Chevy LEGO Batmobile, the hype surrounding the movie just keeps getting stronger.

Last weekend, Chevy surprised Detroit with a “real” Batmobile.

350,000 bricks + 220 hours of design work + 1,800 build work =  a 1,700-lb, 17-foot beast

Of course, we have to tip our hats to the builders, a team of 68 people led by Erik Varszegi, lead designer, and Jeff Rushby, lead builder.

The project is the result of a collaboration among Chevy, Warner Bros., and LEGO.

The LEGO Batman Movie is coming out on February 10 in the US is a spin-off of The Lego Movie (2014) and is written by Seth Grahame-Smith, Chris McKenna, Erik Sommers, Jared Stern & John Whittington.

Directed by Chris McKay, The LEGO Batman Movie is simple and yet promises tons of fun. Batman needs to save Gotham from the shenanigans of the Joker, and he needs to cooperate with others (which we know is very easy for him as he’s a natural people person) to be successful.
