Ducktales Reboot to Launch in 2017
It’s a dream come true for those who grew up in late 80s, early 90s. Disney is rebooting Ducktales, and it is set to launch in 2017. Sure, that’s about 2 years away, but hey, as long as it does happen, right?
For many kids back then, Ducktales was a staple cartoon. It had such an impact that even today, some of the younger generation know its main characters.
And that’s the beauty of the Ducktales reboot. We’re still going to see the iconic characters of Scrooge McDuck; his grandnephews Huey, Dewey and Louie; and Donald Duck.
We’re also going to see familiar characters such as Duckworth, Gyro Gearloose, Launchpad McQuack, Flintheart Glomgold, Magica DeSpell & Poe, Ma Beagle & the Beagle Boys (Burger Beagle, Bouncer Beagle), Mrs. Beakley, and Webbigail Vanderquack.
From what we know, the Ducktales reboot will follow the adventures of the five characters as they go round the world.
The cartoon certainly has a special place in our hearts, and the reboot is a great way to share this part of our childhood with today’s generation. As Disney XD’s Senior Vice President, Programming and General Manager, Marc Buhaj says:
“DuckTales’ has a special place in Disney’s TV animation history, it drew its inspiration from Disney Legend Carl Barks’ comic books and through its storytelling and artistic showmanship, set an enduring standard for animated entertainment that connects with both kids and adults. Our new series will bring that same energy and adventurous spirit to a new generation.”
Who’s looking forward to the Ducktales reboot?
