Get Saucy With Boldly Stripped: A Trek-Inspired Photo Comic
To boldly go…we all know how that goes, but here’s something new. And for adults only. Boldy Stripped (a Trek-inspired photo comic) is going to feature a variety of aliens from our favorite science fiction franchise as we have never seen them before.
This project is all about wonderfully drawn sexy art for nerds, made by nerds.
Boldly Stripped will have 52 pages of glossy photo comics with 12 different photo sets. Gracing the pages is burlesque starlet Hazel Honeysuckle, dressed and made-up as different alien races from Star Trek.
To create Hazel looks, a creative team of artists pay painstaking attention to detail – from costumes to props to makeup (including body makeup, of course!).
Hazel is “a burlesque artist, model, costumer, and nerd. She’s performed on stages throughout the US and Europe, currently headlining in “Absinthe” at Caesar’s Palace on the Vegas strip.”
The photographer, Dangrrr, “was a burlesque performer and producer in NYC. They were a co-founder of the NY Nerdlesque Festival and responsible for sold-out shows at NYCC, PAX East and more. Eventually though, photography overtook their passions, and for the last five years they’ve been pursuing cosplay and boudoir photography.”
We can’t forget the body makeup(er?), Robin Slonina, whose work “includes body painting, mixed-media and mural painting, as well as indoor and outdoor sculpture and installation. Robin is a producer and judge on Skin Wars and Battle of the Salons. She founded Skin City Body Painting studio in downtown Vegas.”
Last, but not least, is the letterer Cory Petit, who is known in the comic book world, having worked on projects such as Avengers, Wolverine, Guardians of the Galaxy, Spider-Man, and Jessica Jones.
The photo comics will be available in three formats – paperback comic, hardcover book, and PDF digital download.
There will also be two versions – lingerie version and fully-nude version.
