Listen to the New Pokémon Anime Ending Theme Song
…but don’t blame us if you hear it in your head all day long. And all night for that matter.
The people behind Pokémon XY & Z have released a new theme song for the show’s ending, titled (quite unimaginatively if you think about it) “Pikachu’s Song”. However, just because the song’s title is not exactly awe-inspiring, it will stick – maybe more than you want to.
The voice behind the song is none other than Ikue Otani, Pickachu’s voice actress. (Although we know her best for “Pika pika”, she’s rather talented and does Japanese dance, modern ballet, and jazz.)
Based on the image above, do not expect to see a wide array of characters. Although there’s practically limitless choices, Pikachu’s Song is aptly named.
Get ready to sing along – which you can do the first time you give it a watch. To help you, although you may not really need it, here are the lyrics. 😉
Pikkachu pikkachu pikkacchu (Pikkachu pikkachu pikkacchu)
Pikapika pikachu pikkachu (Pikapika pikkachu pikkachu)
Pikapikapikapika (Pikapikapikapika)
Pikapikapikapika (Pikapikapikapika)
Pikapika (Pikapika)
Pikapika (Pikapika)
Pika (Pika)
Pika (Pika)
Pikka!
Here’s Pickachu’s Song, ketchup included.
