DIY Rey’s Speeder Bike Quadcopter From Star Wars VII Trailer
The Star Wars VII: The Force Awakens trailer shook the geek world like a 7 magnitude earthquake, and now, as the release of the film comes even closer, fans everywhere are quivering in excitement.
Some just sit there and obsess about opening day. Others obsess and channel that obsession into something amazing.
One of those belonging to the latter group is Michal, who was inspired by Rey’s Speeder Bike as seen in the trailer.
The master builder has gone through pretty impressive lengths to get the Star Wars VII speeder bike quadcopter made, using the “usual” materials for quadcopters:
- flight controller
- transmitter and receiver
- open source radio.
You’ll need a 3D printer, as well as the instructions, which you can easily find here. (Oh, and another amazing thing, Michal’s 3D printer is homemade!)
Whether you’re a DIY-er or not, you wouldn’t mind getting your hands on this bada$$.
