Change Things Up With This Stranger Things Ouija Board
Ever played with a Ouija Board before?
If you haven’t, I bet you’ll doing it for the first time this weekend. If not earlier.
Say hello to the Stranger Things Ouija Board.
The Ouija Board’s origins can be traced back to February 1891 – yes, it’s that old – and was then called a “wonderful talking board”. It was considered to be magical and “answered questions ‘about the past, present and future with marvelous accuracy’ and promised ‘never-failing amusement and recreation for all the classes,’ a link ‘between the known and unknown, the material and immaterial’.”
It’s basically the Ouija Board as we know it today, and whether it truly does work or not, I cannot attest to that.
What I do know, however, is that I wouldn’t mind owning this particular version – the Stranger Things Ouija Board.
As you can see, instead of the usual (maybe even boring) letters, this board makes use of the alphabet lights (the board doesn’t light up, though) Joyce frantically created when she wanted to talk to Will when he was in the upside down.
That detail in itself is enough reason to get hold of this board – whether you actually use it or not. And you know what’s even more fun? When you use it, who’s to say who you get to talk to? Or, rather, where the “person” you’re talking to is – the upside down or elsewhere?
You can get the Stranger Things Ouija Board from $16 (used) to $59.99 (which is ridiculous because there are sellers who offer it at $24.88 new).
