The Official Wheel of Time Watch Is Here!
Whether you have been a fan of Robert Jordan’s The Wheel of Time for ages or you have newly discovered it thanks to Amazon Prime Video, you will want the official Wheel of Time watch on your wrist.
Some people just love watches, while others couldn’t care less about the time. Then again, if you like The Wheel of time, you might just get convinced of wearing a timepiece on your wrist.
Designed and created by TOCKR, a watch company “born in Austin and made in Switzerland”, the official timepiece of The Wheel of Time is gorgeous in its simplicity. Following the classic round shape, The Wheel of Time watch stands out because of the Great Serpent — a central theme to the series.
Now, book readers — and we get you, we really do — may have mixed feelings here. Or even negative feelings. We’ve seen the backlash from purists on social media. But, being true to the Amazon Prime Video adaptation, TOCKR designed the Great Serpent as a circle instead of the symbol for infinity. However, we have to point out that the watch face has two heads facing each other, instead of the serpent swallowing its tail…
Still, the design is pretty cool, with the serpent glowing in the dark — blue for the best ajah. 😉
And, during the day, “in daytime, glowing serpentine creature emerges from the depths of each dark black dial, illuminated in a blaze of bright white, Grade X1 Swiss Super-LumiNova®.”
The case is 42mm in diameter with a stainless steel bezel.
The back is just as gorgeous, with the show’s logo engraved — and then some.
