These Velociprincesses Will Change Your View of Fairy Tale Princesses Forever

Fairy tale princesses have always had a special place in our hearts. Okay, maybe not everyone’s hearts, but for many at least. While I don’t fancy some of them, I did grow up reading fairy tales and watching them come to life on TV and the silver screen. Over the years, I’ve witnessed the changes in the characters of the princesses, but what I’ve just discovered is the biggest change of all.

Enter the Velociprincesses.

These princesses are not your run-of-the-mill ladies. In fact, they would fit in the environs of Jurassic World more.

The Velociprincesses are the work of Laura Cooper, who runs a webcomic called XP. She’s an artist living in China, and while she doesn’t run XP for money, she accepts commissioned artwork so pay her site a visit and get in touch.

Anyhow, back to the Velociprincesses…

I don’t have to tell you who the first princess (above) is, right? The line in itself gives away who she is – if her hair and the thing dangling from her mouth doesn’t.
