This Is What Jim Carrey as the Joker Looks Like

Joaquin Phoenix’s The Joker was one heck of a movie, and a deeply divisive one at that. But could any other actor have pulled it off? stryder HD decided to do a deepfake of the Joker trailer showing us what Jim Carrey as the Joker looks like.

In our opinion, Jim Carrey has what it takes to play the role of Arthur Fleck in all his unglued glory. It is no secret that his portrayal – and the color that the writers, producers, and directors put on the movie – kicked the hornet’s nest.

Peter Bradshaw of The Guardian praises Joaquin Phoenix’s performance but calls the movie the most disappointing of the year. “Why so serious? Todd Phillips’ solemn but shallow supervillain origins movie has a strong performance by Joaquin Phoenix but is weighed down by realist detail and tedious material,” he wrote.

Screenrant, on the other hand, lists down some reasons Joaquin Phoenix may very well be the best Joker – ranging from realism to astounding physical transformation to addressing topical problems.

You either love it or hate it.

If you’re in the first group, then you just might enjoy this deepfake with Jim Carrey.

The creator of the video tells us:

In my opinion Jim Carrey can do no wrong in the world of cinema, he has done everything from drama to Dumb and Dumber, and has not failed yet. He will always be one of my favorite actors so this week I have turned him into Joaquin Phoenix’s iteration of “Joker”. I have also done some voiceover work in this one to change the voice. I hope you all enjoy the deepfake concept trailer and enjoy much more content coming soon!

So, tell us, could Jim Carrey have pulled it off as the Joker?
