Turn Up the Heat With This Candle Rubik’s Cube
Why play with a boring standard plastic Rubik’s Cube when you can have one made of wax? To be accurate, a candle Rubik’s Cube.
This fully functional cube was made by renowned puzzle designer Tony Fisher, who also happens to hold the records for the world’s smallest and largest Rubik’s Cubes. He is best known for his “twisty puzzles” (or, rotational puzzles if you want to be boring).
Fisher put up a video of him lighting up his newest creation and then actually holding it to – you got it – solve the puzzle.
The guy obviously knows his way with the Rubik’s Cube – and with candles. Double high fives to him for being able to solve the puzzle quickly enough for the wax to not have totally melted and not getting burned fingers.
Chances are, a large number of people would not be able to do the same. I know some people who probably won’t even get past the “no burned fingers” part. At the very least, though, a candle Rubik’s Cube would be a great conversation piece. And, when the apocalypse happens, you’ll have a candle (candles?) handy.
If playing with fire isn’t your thing, don’t fret. Tony Fisher has something for you, too. Check out the fully functional Ice Rubik’s Cube below.
