Pikachu in Pokemon Sleeping Bags

Pokemon GO overload notwithstanding, there is something wrong with anyone who doesn’t think these little critters are stuffed to cuteness. I know my nephews will want each and every one of them.

Pikachu has undeniable appeal. You just can’t help but want to hug him, but he’ll probably not stand for it for long. Turn him into a huggable plushie, and you’ll have someone to hug all night. If you ever want different looks, put him in a Pokemon sleeping bag.

Meet “Pikachu in Pokemon Sleeping Bag Plushies”.

Well, they’re basically a pairing of plushies and pouches, but “sleeping bags” is a good name as any.  And, whatever the plushies may be called, enthusiasts are certainly wanting to get their hands on them. What better time to have a bundle of plushies to keep you warm and fuzzy?

So, where you do get them?

Warning: this is kind of a bummer.

These Pikachu in Pokemon sleeping bags plushies (Pikachu Nebukuro Collection) can’t just be bought. You can’t just enter a store or go online to pick all the plushies you want and pay for them. Instead, you’ll have to join a lottery called Ichiban Kuji to win them. For 620 yen (US$6), you get a random prize.

According to RocketNews24, “the biggest prizes are the A and B ranks, 25-centimeter (9.8-inch) plushies in removable Pikachu or Lapras sleeping bags.” The next level is a C prize, which are illustrated cards for seven days of the week and a half-year 2017 calendar. For the D prize, you get a zippered Pikachu or Gengar sleeping bag pouch…and it goes on to the K prize….and then, you can get this cutie.
