Your Shelf Needs These Star Wars Rogue One AT-ACT Bookends

Star Wars: Rogue One was highly anticipated, of course, and as it can be with films, had a mixed reception. We saw articles along the lines of “the X biggest problems about Rogue One” (there always have to be those). Then there are those who had nothing but praise. And then there is the group who said “it was okay; maybe just go see it”.

Whichever group you belonged to, you surely didn’t miss the new “AT-AT version” – the AT-ACT, or All-Terrain Armored Cargo Transport.

Not exactly an upgrade (but still different in some good ways), the AT-ACT has a place in every Star Wars collector’s shelf. And, talking about collecting, these new Star Wars Rogue One AT-ACT Bookends are going to make you want to whip out that card immediately. Especially if you’re a bookworm.

Bookends are always cool, and these are no exception – even if the AT-ACT may not be your beloved AT-AT.

AT-ACT Bookends

A bit of background if you need it…the AT-ACT is different from the AT-AT you grew up knowing as it “towers over its predecessor at 31 meters instead of 22.5. Manufactured at Kuat Drives Yards along with AT-ATs, the AT-ACT is a combat walker classed transport with a dedicated cargo bed.” As its name implies, its primary purpose is to convey heavy items – material needed for construction and building, as well as ammunition, among other things. However, it doesn’t come unequipped for a fight if it encounters one.

With its size, it’s got some inherent advantage. It’s also got weapons – two heavy laser cannons.

So, if you’ve got these Star Wars Rogue One AT-ACT Bookends on your shelves, your books are pretty much safe.

The bookends are going to be available in January 2018 and will set you back a whopping $239.99.

You can preorder from Entertainment Earth, who rightly labeled the item as “Really Cool Expensive Stuff”. For that price, these AT-ACT Bookends better be child-proof, cat-proof, dog-proof, and everything else that can ruin expensive stuff-proof!
