This Baby Groot Cake Is Not a Lie

Certain cakes may be lies, but this one definitely isn’t – and it will make you very happy. Maybe even happier than chocolate Baby Groot.

Whether you’ve seen Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 or not (not yet in my case), this cake is a perfect excuse to hold a special *whatever event* – with it as the pièce de résistance, of course.

The Baby Groot cake is a DIY – we likey – thing, and the tutorial has been online for a while now. However, with the recent release (with the exception of Japan and Nepal – release date: May 12) of the movie, the video has come under the spotlight yet again.

It’s not enough that adult Groot is adorkable. Baby Groot is just hands down adorable. Dancing or not.

And for those of us with a sweet tooth, well, a Baby Groot cake is the next best thing to having the real deal.

A word of warning, though, so you don’t get disappointed. The tutorial to make the cake isn’t exactly for people who haven’t baked before. Still, once you see it, you’ll probably want to roll up your sleeves and give it the good old college try. Worse comes to worse, just have a food fight and dance like Baby Groot.
