Bust Stress to Infinity With This Electronic Bubble Wrap

Bust Stress to Infinity With This Electronic Bubble Wrap

Stress is the name of the game, these days more than ever. And if you’re like me, then you need this electronic bubble wrap.

It has been clinically proven that popping bubble wrap relieves stress like no other…okay, I made that up. But, anecdotal evidence is there. And I have my fair share of anecdotes, so I believe in bubble wrap’s power.

Lucky for some of us, online shopping comes with this perk — bubble wrap galore. However, as satisfying as it is to pop those bubbles, it’s leaving too much of a carbon footprint.

That may be or may not be the reason for this brilliant idea — an electronic bubble wrap.

With this nifty gadget, we can pop bubbles all we want without having to amass a ridiculous amount of plastic.

Aptly named ∞ Bubble Wrap AIR, the device has the distinction of receiving the Japan Toy Award 2021 (High Target Toy Category Excellence Award). And guess who is behind this idea?

None other than BANDAI.

The electronic bubble wrap needs a battery (included), of course. It is small and portable, ready to go with you wherever; measuring 10 x 19 x 3 cm and weighing 60 g.

BANDAI says that it is recommended for ages 8 and above, but their TARGET age is 8 to 100. So, we’re pretty much all covered!

If you have concerns about how it compares to real bubble wrap, it comes pretty close. It requires a similar amount of pressure that you need for the real thing, and then that oh-so-satisfying popping sound is heard over the speaker which is integrated into the device — but with a nice difference. That pop is even more satisfying because it is much louder than its plastic counterpart. They say it’s 10 times louder! Plus, you are always sure to have that pop, unlike with the plastic which sometimes has duds.

Now, for a dose of weird…

Don’t be surprised if, every so often, you hear not a pop but a meow or some other sound. Because that’s how BANDAI rolls. The electronic bubble wrap has seven “surprise sounds”, which should serve as comic relief if nothing else.
