How to Celebrate Star Wars Day
Long story short: do whatever you want.
Truth is, it’s all about what you want to do to tell the world just how much of a Star Wars nerd you are, right? More so, it’s about doing what you enjoy most.
There are literally hundreds (maybe even thousands) of ways you can celebrate Star Wars Day. Some of the events are location-based, but there are all sorts of other things you can do.
I’ll skip the usual movie re-watch marathon events in this post, but here are some pretty cool things you can do.
The bad: most are location-based, but you’re sure to find something similar in your area – or, you can organize your impromptu event.
In New York, you can bask in the magical music created by the New York Philharmonic’s Brass Section at the Lincoln Center. There will also be giveaways of merchandise (if you’re in costume, of course) as well as a meet and greet session with some Star Wars characters.
If you’re in the Buffalo area, or you just love donuts like nothing else, go to Paula’s Donuts for some Yoda, Chewy, and Stormtrooper donuts. *Salivates*
In Detroit, you can re-watch (or watch for the first time) the Force Awakens at the Henry Ford Giant Screen Experience. Touted as the ultimate movie experience in 4k, this should be on your list if you’re in the area.
For those of you not in either city, there’s something that might be even better: a LEGO sale! LEGO has announced that they will be celebrating May the Fourth with a range of promotions from May 4-6 at LEGO brand retail stores. Chances are you’ll have one within driving distance.
For other locations, here is a more comprehensive list of events for Star Wars Day 2017. May the Fourth be with you.
