Circuit Board Jewelry: Wear Your Geek Loud and Proud
Being a geek means many things. One geek may be batshit crazy about superheroes. Another about tabletop games. Yet another about electronics and robotics. Or, it could be a combination of all three – and more.
One thing’s for sure, though: we all want to let the world know of our passion(s).
What better way to literally wear our geek loud and proud than to wear circuit board jewelry?
The concept is not new, but this project but Circuit Breaker Labs is something you will want to look at – and probably back up.
Circuit Breaker Labs makes handmade jewelry out of circuit boards, but they don’t just cut ’em up and dangle them on chains. They go the extra geeky mile to design and craft their products with the goal of adorning, educating, and empowering.
So they’ve been doing this for a while, but they are running a Kickstarter campaign to expand their offerings – and address customer requests.
You may or may not see this coming, but that request is…pink and blue circuit boards. Well, different colors, really but pink and blue being the most popular ones.
You already know that PCBs are mainly green, brown, and maybe yellow – in different hues – so it’s going to be pretty cool if we had circuit board jewelry in red, violet, orange, and whatever your favorite color is.
Here are some examples that will make you want to back the project.
Back it up now before it ends (in 8 days).
