Class of 2020? Upload Your Photo to SpaceX

Class of 2020? Upload Your Photo to SpaceX

If you’re graduating this year – no matter your educational level – you’re kind of missing out one of the most exciting moments of a student’s life. Actually walking up to the stage and receiving that hard-earned piece of paper. Thanks to COVID-19, you’re experiencing (or experienced) your graduation virtually.

But SpaceX and NASA are trying to make your graduation year extra special. Their making their resources available to students who are graduating this year and allowing them to upload photos, which are then displayed on a photo mosaic of the earth. Much like in real life, you can’t see a lot of details of this earth from afar.

Once you zoom in, though, you’ll see graduation photos of students from all over.

From SpaceX:

In an effort to celebrate the class of 2020—from kindergarten to graduate school—SpaceX and NASA are inviting students from around the world to submit their photo to fly on America’s first human spaceflight in nearly a decade.

If you graduated or are scheduled to graduate in 2020, upload your photo to the mosaic of Earth below, which will be printed and flown aboard SpaceX’s Crew Dragon spacecraft during its upcoming mission to the International Space Station with NASA astronauts Bob Behnken and Doug Hurley on board.

The deadline for all submissions is Wednesday, May 20. Submit your photo today to fly with the crew on Dragon and commemorate your achievements!

You may not be able to attend your graduation physically, but flying to space with astronauts (albeit still virtually) does make up for it a bit, right?
