Watch HBO’s “Westworld” Teaser Trailer and Get All Worked Up
There are teaser trailers, and there are teaser trailers that truly takes “tease” to a whole new level. And, yes, if there’s anyone who can pull something like this off, it’s HBO.
They’ve taken Game of Thrones further than a lot of book readers (including myself) would have thought, and if that’s any indication, their new original series, Westworld will be just as great.
Westworld is the brainchild of Jonathan Nolan and Lisa Joy, a sci-fi thriller based on the 1973 film:
Westworld is a 1973 science fiction western-thriller film written and directed by novelist Michael Crichton and produced by Paul Lazarus III about amusement park robots that malfunction and begin killing visitors. It stars Yul Brynner as an android in a futuristic Western-themed amusement park, and Richard Benjamin and James Brolin as guests of the park.
Even without watching the teaser trailer, the upcoming TV series already shows promise if only for its cast. With Anthony Hopkins and Ed Harris in there, you know that this is not going to be your ordinary TV show. And yes, it’s an HBO original.
Filming of the show started in August 2014, and it will air in October 2016.
Watch the the Westworld teaser trailer for yourself, and I guarantee you’ll be looking forward to the show.
