More Stocking-Stuffers: Pixel Pals Figurines

Last week, I thought I’d found the best stocking-stuffer ever – the Tomica Darth Vader Carrier Trailer. Boy, was I wrong!

Today, I ran into Pixel Pals – a set of figurines which, as you may have guessed, are a throwback to old school gaming…

…Back to the days of pixelated fun.

Forget Funko Pop figures and every other action figure you have been thinking of giving this Christmas (okay, not forever – just for a while). Pixel Pals is a line of video game characters any gamer would recognize – from classic games to newer ones.

The Next Web shared some images from the collection, with Mario and Mega Man at the forefront.

As if the idea of pixelated figurines weren’t enough, Pixel Pals also light up!

Imagine having Mario watch over you as you fall asleep…you don’t have to worry about the bogeyman getting you in the dark. If you’re worried about the light disturbing your sleeping pattern, don’t. The figurines emit a soft glow, which should not be a problem. Or, you can simply turn it off.

Bogeyman in the dark or light-up Mario. Your choice.

All Pixel Pals are officially licensed and are about six inches tall. You’ll need two AAA batteries (they’re included in the package) to power up the lights and enjoy all those pixels.

Pixel Pals will be available on November 25 and will be exclusively sold by GameStop. Each figure will cost $15. At this price, you should be able to manage to give away a bunch and get yourself some, too.
