What Can You Make With 4,000 Post-Its?
A sword, of course!
We all know that Post-Its are useless for reminders and notes – and playing pranks on your friends. You forget you scribbled something down so you end up placing the note somewhere you forget…
When you do remember to place the Post-It right in your face – your PC, for example, it falls off just when you need to be reminded of whatever it is. Stick the Post-It on your notebook, someone else finds it on the pantry floor.
Artist Marco Ercoli must have had many a frustrating experience with Post-Its so he decided to make better use of these brightly-colored pieces of paper: sculptures.
A sword just happens to be one of them. A Post-It sword made with 4,000 pieces.
Looks the King Arthur of Post-Its has been to this chamber, so forget your aspirations.
Marco Ercoli has other creations aside from Post-It swords that will color your world.
Here’s a grenade, which shouldn’t be a problem around children. Except that it will probably end up as a piece of wasted work.
Here’s a pistol, which amazes because of the attention to detail.
And here’s an awesome ride.
If you were to choose, what would you ask the artist to create?
Trivia: Post-It is usually associated with 3M because the company held the original patent. The patent ran out in 1997, probably resulting in the millions of “fake” notes that fall off all the time.
