There’s a Shop That Sells Real Wands, But Harry Potter Fans Won’t Like It
In Diagon Alley Slaithwaite village, near Huddersfield (it’s somewhere in the UK), there’s a shop called Mystical Moments that sells real wands. You know, wands that wizards and witches use to channel their powers.
Little wonder that Harry Potter fans have been flocking to the shop to get their own wands. They’re not exactly real Harry Potter wands, they’re probably the closest we’ll get to the real deal.
There’s a catch, though. And a rather big one.
The owner doesn’t sell the wands to just anyone. Even if you’re the biggest Harry Potter fan in the whole wide world. Even if J.K. Rowlings attests to the intensity of your passion.
Now, before you throw a fit, you have to understand why wand-maker Richard Carter refuses to sell his wands to Harry Potter fans of all ages. First, the “ban” is not all about Harry Potter fans (kind of). In fact, the reason Richard Carter doesn’t sell his wares indiscriminately is that they are “spiritual tools” and not collectibles.
They’re not like lightsabers that you can buy everywhere.
These wands are the real deal. Remember how a wand chooses its owner in Harry Potter?
Richard Carter’s wands are not that different. He handcrafts each of them, anoints them with oit, all the while being guided by spirits, he says.
These wands have real power – power to protect against dark forces, power to cure aches and pains, power to give one strength, and more.
Given this information, one can somehow understand why the wand-maker doesn’t want to sell his wands to “just anyone”.
My beef is this: what if a Harry Potter fan is a real mystic, too?
