Soon We Can Stay In an Atari Hotel
An Atari hotel? Why not? There are all sorts of hotels with quirky themes, and an Atari hotel is actually a good idea. Retro gamers from all over the world will surely pay an arm and a leg to stay in one.
While those grounded in the reality of the near future are focused on the release of the Atari VCS (all we know is that it is shipping early this year and that we can “game, stream, connect like never before”), staying in this video game-themed hotel is something we’re already dreaming of.
Also, the brand is known for its not-so-common projects like a hat with speakers – the Atari Speakerhats.
They also launched their own cryptocurrency back in 2018.
So, yeah, an Atari hotel is not that crazy.
We expect the first hotel to break ground this spring, with residents of Phoenix, Arizona being the lucky ones. According to Atari, though, we won’t have to wait long for hotels to open in the following locations – Austin, TX, Chicago, IL, Denver, CO, Las Vegas, NV, San Francisco, CA, San Jose, CA, and Seattle, WA.
What’s to see in an Atari hotel aside from, obviously, Atari stuff?
The brand says:
Atari Hotels level up hotel entertainment with fully immersive experiences for every age and gaming ability, including the latest in Virtual and Augmented Reality. Select hotels will also feature state-of-the-art venues and studios to accommodate esports events.
Today, we realized that an Atari hotel is the hotel that we didn’t know we needed. We know where we’re staying if we find ourselves in the cities above!
