Star Wars Monopoly Rey Token Finally Coming
U.S. fans have long been waiting for the Star Wars Monopoly Rey token. Ever since the Star Wars Monopoly set was released in about two years ago, the question “Where’s Rey?” has been preying on people’s minds. The problem went beyond people’s minds, though, and went straight to social media, thanks to an 8-year-old named Annie Rose Goldman writing Hasbro a letter pleading for a Rey token. Thus the hashtag #WheresRey was born.
A couple of years passed and still no Star Wars Monopoly Rey token.
What really happened? Why was Rey not included in the game in the first place?
According to the Hasbro people, there was no Rey token in the game because it was released before the movie was launched. Obviously, they didn’t want her character to be revealed because of a token.
Still, when an updated version of Star Wars Monopoly was released, Americans were not part of the lucky ones to have her in the game. Hasbro did give in somehow by giving Americans the option of requesting a special Rey token. However, she still wasn’t part of the game by default.
No need to go on about the frustration involved, is there? You probably have been in that boat for the past two years.

Hasbro has announced that Rey is finally, officially coming to the Star Wars Monopoly set.
The new set is being released in a few days on July 25 for $24.99. You can pre-order straight from Hasbro’s site.
