This TOAD Sculpture Will Give You the Creeps

We all love Super Mario, and while we may have differing opinions on the best character, Toad is probably up there. And, even if he isn’t your number 1, you will still want to enjoy this scary Toad sculpture.

Because, why not???

You have to admit – Toad is not exactly the character you’d associate immediately with scary or creepy. He is, in fact, quite cute. Cuter than Yoshi, some would say. (Okay, that is arguable.)

In any case, artist Adam (AKA North of the Border) decided to give his take and create a super-realistic scary Toad sculpture.

With some clay, foil, wire, paint, a cleaning rag, and other tools any sculptor has lying around in his workshop, Adam has given us a truly creepy experience.

Mind you, this Toad sculpture was made for Christmas. And, while the holiday is well behind us, I thought it was still worth sharing. Really, isn’t this a work of art? Weird. But art.
