No Kid Will Want to Miss School With This Hogwarts Classroom

Who hasn’t played hooky once in a while? We’re not saying we’re encouraging it, but we won’t shun you if you’ve been there.

As for kids these days…we don’t know how things go when it comes to skipping class, but if they had a Hogwarts classroom for real, then the chances of them missing a single session are close to nil.

This teacher at Evergreen Middle School in Hillsboro, Oregon is our new hero.

Kyle Hubler, seventh and eighth-grade teacher at the school spent a total of 70 hours (spread over five weeks) of labor converting your run-of-the-mill classroom into Hermione would want to stay in herself.

Obviously, Hubler is a Potterhead himself. He has an extensive collection of merchandise, part of which put into his Hogwarts classroom. Other merch and decor, he paid for himself.

But this isn’t only all about his healthy Harry Potter obsession. He says his life has been impacted by the series so much that he wants to share this with his pupils. And we totally get that.

In an interview with the Huffington Post, Hubler says:

“As a kid, I remember my biggest dream was to go to Hogwarts someday, but I knew that I could never truly go there. When I became a teacher… I realized that I had the power to make my childhood wish come true…I love Harry Potter because of the impact it had on me as a kid. Being a kid can be tough sometimes… and reading the books was a way to escape that and feel like I did belong.”

Don’t we all feel that way?

We say, good on you, Mister Hubler. Your pupils are so lucky to have you!

Check out some of the photos below, and you’ll probably want to go back to school.
