This Guy’s Collection of Weird Video Game Consoles Will Make You Jealous
So you’re proud of your collection of all the PlayStation consoles ever released? Or maybe you have all the Xbox consoles. Perhaps your pride lies in your handheld consoles collection.
Well, boys and girls, hang on tight because you might be blown away by this guy’s weird video game consoles.
Redditor ZadocPaet shared 10 weird video game consoles that he actually owns. One look at the gallery, and you’ll immediately bow down to him.
Let’s take a look at a few of them.
Coleco Telstar Arcade – 1976
I wasn’t even born when this was released! ZadocPaet says:
The Telstar Arcade is unique not only in the fact that it’s shaped like a triangle, that its game carts are triangular, and that it has a gun and a steering wheel. No, it’s unique because it’s the only first generation home console to have interchangeable cartridges.
Yeah. It’s the triangle that does it.
Tiger R-Zone – 1995
If you ask me, this is the weirdest of the bunch. I mean, take a look at it!
How does it work?
“You wear it on your freaking head. It projects the game on to the clear plastic thing that folds down in front of your eye. It’s pretty hard to see, and you really need to keep one eye closed. The controller is kind of terrible too because of how the buttons are attached to each other.
This is weird because it’s a weird idea and you look like a weirdo playing it.“
End of the weirdest story about weird video game consoles ever told.
Toy Max Arcadia Electronic Game System – 1998
This kind of weird I can handle. As its owner says, it’s actually pretty cool and that thingy kind of looks like Wall-E. The system doesn’t have a screen nor does it need one. Wall-E’s ancestor there projects the images for you.
Mattel HyperScan – 2006
I didn’t even know Mattel made this. I think they just jumped on the bandwagon but decided to put their own stamp. Which resulted in something weird and awful. How so? To perform actions in the game, you have to swipe a card!
I just keep thinking, “Swiper, no swiping!”
