This Armenian Girl Singing the Fifth Element Opera Will Amaze You

Fifth Element Opera

You certainly can do a lot worse than Luc Besson’s The Fifth Element for movie night. Quite the opposite, if you think about it. The movie is one of those that’s so good you wouldn’t mind watching it several times over. Or maybe I am biased.

For anyone who has watched the movie, however, the opera scene is something that will forever be embedded in one’s memory. Not only does the voice of Albanian soprano Inva Mula Tchako (the one used in the movie) wow you, but the aria itself is captivating.

But the Albanian soprano isn’t the only one who can do the aria justice. Teenager Viktoria Hovhanissyan from Armenia, a contestant for the Russian version of The Voice, took on the immense challenge of singing the piece live on TV, and guess what?

She totally pulled it off. More than that, she might even give the Albanian soprano a run for her money. Watch and listen, and you’ll be wanting to see The Fifth Element again.

For comparison, here is the “original”.

Which one do you think is better? Or are both at the same level?

You’re welcome. 😉
