This Oven Makes Pizza in 45 Seconds

There isn’t a lot that’s better than pizza.

Long day at work? No problem. Order pizza and eat in front of the TV.

Need breakfast to fuel your day? Eat leftover pizza. No need to heat it up.

Pizza even has health benefits.

I don’t know about you, but sometimes, waiting for the pizza to arrive is just plain torture. Normally, we have no choice, but here’s something totally cool from Hackaday: a 45-second pizza oven.

Yup. 45 seconds and you have pizza. For real.

If you’re thinking “a 45-second pizza oven” is cool and all that, but 90 seconds or 120 seconds should be good, too, right?

Well, according to Avidan Ross (real name!), there is an optimal combination of temperature and cooking time – a combination that results in the perfect pizza.

How did Ross get this done? According to the video below:

His approach was to build a robotic pizza oven that senses temperature and precisely controls its sources. The result is a 45-second cooking cycle that varies the temperature during the process for that perfect slice. This, and other robotic cooking hacks are discussed by Avidan during his talk at the 2016 Hackaday SuperConference.
