Crowdfunded Poo Emoji Shirt Is, Well, Crap!
Crowdfunding has erupted in recent years, mainly because of Kickstarter. Many Kickstarter projects have been funded, although the platform has been known to have its own share of problems when it comes to shipping successfully funded projects.
Then there’s Indiegogo, which opened up the niche to more countries. After that, countless other crowdfunding sites have cropped up.
There have been really great crowdfunded products like the Pebble Watch (although I have to admit that I found out firsthand that it’s not a product for me) and Ouya. But there are some crowdfunded ideas that just escape me.
Like this Poo Emoji shirt.
While the product description looks good on paper – or screen – the concept is a little to gross for me to understand. Here is how the makers describe the Poo Emoji Shirt.
- Lightweight cotton with custom poo-emoji print.
- Textured faux-shell buttons.
- Left-side chest pocket.
- Machine wash cold, line dry.
- Made in San Francisco.
So it has custom print. It’s made it the US – which is supposed to be a good thing. But seriously, crap on your shirt? Literally.
I’d much rather have one of the shirts resulting from a Reddit-4chan collaboration.
It seems that I am going against the flow here because the project has been successfully funded – 290% of its original goal. It seems that the Poo Emoji Shirt is a cool idea, and I’m not cool enough. See more photos here, and let me know what you think.
