Official Skyrim Monopoly Set Coming in 2017!
Fina-effin-lly.
Monopoly is the king of board games in spite of – or maybe because of – its tendency to ruin all sorts of relationships. As such, Hasbro has milked – and continues to do so – the franchise. We’ve got all sorts of official Monopoly versions, from Finding Dory to Star Wars to Disney Princesses to Frozen to Marvel Avengers.
Then there are the unofficial versions, some of which are even more beautiful than the official ones, like this special Japanese edition.
Of course, gamers are not to be outdone. With Skyrim being one of the most popular video games of all time, it would just be wrong not to have a Skyrim version of Monopoly, right?
Well, until now, there hasn’t been any indication of an official edition. I did spot a wonderfully designed Skyrim Monopoly board several years ago, as you can see below.
This week, though, exciting news has been spreading all over the internet – an official Skyrim Monopoly set is going to be release in 2017. A real, official licensed product.
Now, I am not sure if that means much more than a kickass “homemade” Monopoly board, but if it’s official, it must be good.
Judging by the cover art of the box, it does hold promise. However, we have no idea what the exact design of the board itself will be, nor do we have information about the tokens.
The board game can be pre-ordered at Merchoid:
