Run As If Your Life Depended On It With PUMA x SEGA RS-O SONIC

Sneakers and games aren’t strange bedfellows. If anything, it’s the opposite. By now, you’ve probably heard about the Fila Pokémon collaboration. There was also the Vans Nintendo tie-up, which is, unfortunately not available anymore.

For fans of Sonic the Hedgehog, there’s something to look forward to. Come June 2018, you can run like Sonic with the new sneaker collaboration of Puma and Sega: the PUMA x SEGA RS-O SONIC.

Puma recently teased us with a video showcasing the upcoming PUMA x SEGA RS-O SONIC, a special edition which falls under their RS line.

Thirty seconds of pixelated speed:

There is no doubt that the PUMA x SEGA RS-O SONIC is a throwback to the glory of the 80s. Who cares about Retina if you can have pixelated? And those colors – the brilliant blue, red, yellow, and green! Sonic all the way.

Of course, common sense dictates that the final product won’t look as good as the teaser shows. Unless they find a way to manufacture sneakers that are pixelated, not to mention living up to its promise of being a speedster’s footwear of choice.

As things usually are with special edition collabs, they sell like hotcakes and will probably be gone the same day. So keep an eye out on June 18.
