The Overlook Hotel From The Shining Dream PS4 Version
In our opinion, movies don’t get any creepier than The Shining. The combination of Stephen King’s writing, Stanley Kubrick’s directing, and Jack Nicholson’s acting is just superbly horrifying that some of us didn’t even have the backbone to get through the movie from start to finish. (We’re not saying we’re one of those…) And, more than Jack Nicholson’s expressive face, the Overlook Hotel and the twins will forever be in our nightmares.
The stuff that makes for sleepless nights complete with sweat and chills (maybe a scream or two), The Shining’s Overlook Hotel is a place you wouldn’t want to find yourself in. But, then again, it has got its charms, doesn’t it? As long as it stays in another plane of existence.
Like the PlayStation game Dreams Universe. Video games have always been a source of creativity, some more than others. Dreams Universe, a PlayStation exclusive, is one of those. The tagline may be trite – The only limit is your imagination – but it’s oh so true.
In the game, you can:

- Discover amazing creations from players around the world and experience the awe-inspiring story campaign, Art’s Dream.
- Learn how to design your own games, animate, make music and more with easy-to-follow tutorial videos – and then share your ideas in an online social network of creativity.
That last part, player Quorra__ISO and dave138 took to heart. They recreated The Shining’s Overlook Hotel, including details such as the Gold Room, maze, lounge/floor 2, and Room 237.
