You’ll Want to Empty Your Bank Account for These TV and Movie Props
What are your favorite geeky TV shows and movies?
The chances are that your list will contain some Batman, Battlestar Galactica, and Back to the Future. If that is the case, then get ready to spend your hard-earned cash or merely drool and dream about something you can never have.
Prop Store is where you can buy “ultimate movie collectibles”, although they actually have both TV and movie props. They have a constant list of items that are being auctioned, and I spent a little more time than I had planned browsing their current selection.
Since there are too many to mention, here are my top three TV and movie props from Prop Store.
Colonial Viper Pilot Helmet and Jacket; BATTLESTAR GALACTICA (1978-1979)
While I fell in love with the new series, this uniform just calls out to me. If you watched the original series, then you’ll definitely be drooling over this item. The price range? £13,000-15,000.
Batman’s (Michael Keaton) Hero Bullet Hit Bat Emblem; BATMAN (1989)
Everyone has his preferred Batman, but I think Michael Keaton did a more than decent job. I’m not one to put high value on looks, but with Batman usually showing only his lips and jaw, Michael Keaton was a great fit. While this item does not show Batman or even his costume, this emblem with a bullet hit is pretty badass. This is a little cheaper at £2,000-3,000, so Batman fans might have a better chance of getting their hands on it.
BACK TO THE FUTURE: PART II (1989) – Marty McFly’s (Michael J. Fox) Mattel Hoverboard
Every Back to the Future fan is still dreaming of Marty McFly’s hoverboard. It might still be far from being made in real life, but having the prop is close enough. Get ready to pay anywhere from £14,000-18,000, though.
Aren’t you just wishing that you had tons of money right now?
