The tech scene evolves so quickly that before you know it, your months-old device is already ‘obsolete’. While phones, tablets, and other similar gadgets may be the first things that come to mind, household appliances are not exempt. Just go to your nearest appliance shop, and you’ll be amazed at the high-tech fridges, washing machines, and all that stuff you don’t normally care about.

Enter the R2-D2 Robot Fridge.

We’ve seen all sorts of R2-D2 mods. We’ve seen all sorts fridges that make you drool. But they all have nothing on this R2-D2 robot fridge.

The fact that the fridge is R2 already makes this appliance a cut above the rest, and not a mere bleep on the radar. But, there’s this ‘tiny’ detail that will definitely catch people’s attentions – even those who are not Star Wars fans.

How about an R2-D2 robot fridge that brings you the beer?

You don’t have to stand up. You don’t have to nag your girl friend or wife to get you a beer. You don’t have to bribe your kid with candy to get you a 6-pack.

You’ve got the R2-D2 robot fridge.

Made by Haier Asia, the R2-D2 robot fridge is only the beginning. Here’s the awesome part. We are going to see skins for standard refrigerators in the future: C-3PO, Darth Vader and stormtroopers, as well as posters from the film series. The company also showed off fridge covers based on Marvel characters such as Iron Man.

This is one of those that tests one’s patience.
